Energia Limited, an indigenous E&P company has taken a step further in reaching out to the most vulnerable persons in its operating communities with COVID-19 palliatives. This feat was accomplished following the launch of the Energia Employees corporate social responsibility (CSR) project in April 2020, aimed at empowering the employees to voluntarily pool their resources together in mitigating the effects of the pandemic on people.
This goodwill is in addition to the contribution by Energia Limited in conjunction with its JV partner OPDC to support government’s effort in fighting the scourge of the pandemic at federal, state and its cluster group levels.
The team led by the company’s chief corporate officer – Winifred Mena-Ajakpovi, on 10 May, 2020 distributed COVID-19 palliatives to indigent residents at Aboki estate Ikate, and Alayabiagba town in Ajegunle Lagos State. The employees at their Kwale branch headed by the company’s Community Liaison Executives also reached out to the company’s host and impacted communities in Kwale, Delta State on 15 May, 2020 with relief materials. About two hundred and forty (240) families have benefited from the scheme.
The company and its employees understand the times and have remained steadfast in their commitment to fighting this global pandemic and its devastating impact on humanity.
